CDs January 2007
Jan. 7th, 2007 12:12 pmWell, it lasted just six days. I’m giving up on this because...well, I just don’t LIKE doing it. I’m not sure how I’ll keep track of what I listen to, but this ain’t gonna be it.
The idea here is to listen to all of my CDs in sequence, at least one per day. I’ve got over 1,300, so it’d take me at least three and a half years to listen to everything. Or I could just listen to four albums a day and be done in one year. I’ve got tons of stuff I’ve never actually listened to: CDs I bought on a whim, CDs I got for a quarter at a sale when I first moved here. And then there’s the stuff I bought because I thought I liked the band, but then haven’t listened to in ages because my tastes have shifted. I want to hear it all, even the stupid “ambient” crap I got into ten years ago for no discernible reason. Granted, most of that stuff is gone (Death Cube K sold well on eBay, as I recall) but there’s still some.
I’m just giving them a rating, 1 to 5, with 5 being Best of the Best and 1 being worst. This is based on my feelings after hearing the album. You’ll notice I’ve rated a few albums I haven’t listened to yet. That’s because I’ve listened to them SO often in the past that I’m intimately familiar with them and know exactly how I feel about them.
