A few things
Jan. 5th, 2009 11:49 pmGoogle today released a Mac version of Picasa, their image management software. It’s pretty nice. It’s crashed once, but that’s OK; it is just a beta, after all.
Class wasn’t bad. We’ve got a teacher who seems to think that if we all get to know one another we’ll be better able to help each other with our writing. She’s clearly insane. She had us reading aloud from the syllabus AND, oh AND she made us pair up with a neighbor to find out a few “interesting” facts and then after the break she had us get up and introduce each other. Oh, lord. Well, it’s only for six weeks, and it does look to be an interesting and potentially useful class, so I’ll stick it out.
Also, here’s something interesting: Kivitetty Saatana, by the Finnish band Alamaailman Vasarat. It’s sort of proggish, sort of klezmerish, purely awesome.
Also, Weezer’s last couple albums mostly suck. Which sucks. Oh well.
