I repeat myself when under stress

Tuesday I went to the UCLA dental school for an appointment. I’ve got an abscess over one of my molars, and a myriad of other dental issues and they need to be dealt with. So I give my medical history. Then the guy says he needs to take my blood pressure. No problem says I, and I roll up my sleeve. He fits the cuff and inflates it.

“Hm.” He pumps up the cuff some more. And then some more. My hand feels like it’s dangling by a thread. He finally gets a reading, and I know it’s not going to be good.
