We’ve got twenty, thirty Lego sets here to sort for eventual sale. Maybe I mentioned this? I don’t know. Anyway, I’ve just spent the entire afternoon and evening trying to assemble two sets from a random jumble of bricks. I’m about three bricks shy on one, and four on the other. And these are <75 piece sets. It's as if whole swathes of our Lego sets just got up and walked away. I've got one bag left to check, and it's a doozy. It's the bag which holds all of my childhood Legos. There's no reason for the missing pieces to be in there, but it's all I've got left. The only other possibility is they've been hoovered up or carried off by roving bands of Lego-hungry insects. Since I don't feel like tearing up the floor boards to look for them, I'll write them off as lost, make a list and then head to the Lego store.
In a related story, I now hate Lego and all they stand for. Ole Kirk Christiansen and indeed all Denmark can burn in hell.
